Kynance Cove is the jewel of the Lizard peninsula, the most south-westerly part of the British mainland. Owned and protected by the National Trust its romantic history of smuggling and piracy have been captured in many novels and films in the past. The combination of its the mild maritime climate and complex and unique geology has produced an area with a distinctive character and outstanding natural beauty. It has rare and unusual flora and the green and red Serpentine rocks have been polished by the turquoise sea over thousands of years.
